A great opportunity has arisen for a temporary Rents Assistant based on Birmingham Business Park to support customers with their rent accounts. You will receive flexible working hours, 35 per week between 8.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday plus no car parking fees!

Managing over 20,000 homes, you will be working for a housing association who continually strives to improve services whilst maximising affordable homes for the future.

As the Rents Assistant, you will be:
* Answering incoming telephone calls relating to rent payments and service charges
* Collecting payments from tenants
* Negotiating repayment plans where possible
* Advising tenants and resolving queries
* Entering activity onto the database system
* Administration tasks including preparing information for court packs
* Liaising with colleagues to resolve customer queries

To be successful as the temporary Rents Assistant, you will have:
* An understanding of welfare benefits, money management and advice
* Experience of working within a customer focused environment
* Excellent communication and organisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines
* You may have experience of the following: Income Officer, Rents Officer, Housing Assistant, Estate Agent, Lettings Officer, Lettings Assistant, Income Arrears, Housing, Property, Citizens Advice Bureau, Customer Service.

The Rents Assistant will receive a salary of £22,435 per year plus the following benefits:
