A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Communications & Marketing Assistant based in the Jewellery Quarter, near to Birmingham City Centre to engage audiences by dealing with publications and managing and attending conferences. You will be working for a not-for-profit organisation, formed in 2003, who provide improvement services to the pharmacy sector.
As the Communications & Marketing Assistant, your duties include:
- Planning events for the company, sourcing merchandise and organising attendee lists
- Attending seminars, conferences and exhibitions on a regular basis.
- Building on existing relationships and creating new partnerships to increase the company’s contact database
- Assisting with the creation of artwork for company literature and writing copy when required
- Liaising with external designers, print houses and distributors to create engaging marketing literature
- Helping to manage the company’s social media sites
- Providing marketing and administration support to the PR & Communications Manager
As the Communications & Marketing Assistant, you will have:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous experience within marketing
- An up-to-date knowledge of social media platforms and how to utilise them effectively
- Previous experience within events and graphic design is desirable but not essential as you will receive on the job training
- You may have experience of working as one of the following: Marketing Officer/Assistant, Communications Officer/Assistant, Social Media Officer/Executive, Graphic Designer, with a degree relating to Marketing or Graphic Design
As the Marketing Assistant, your salary will be circa £19,000 per annum.
